Guidelines on Land Acquisition Procedures for Federal Purposes in the State of Sabah via the Land Acquisition Method
Purpose of Circular
This circular is issued for the following purposes:
i. to serve as a guideline for all Federal Ministries and User Departments (KJP) regarding the procedures for land acquisition for public purposes under the Sabah Land Acquisition Ordinance (Chapter 69);
ii. to ensure the optimal development of land held by the Federal Lands Commissioner, in alignment with the policies of the Sabah State Government; and
iii. to assist in the monitoring and follow-up actions by the JKPTG (Federal Lands and Mines Director-General’s Office) and the relevant Federal Ministries/User Departments (KJP) until the land title is registered in the name of the Federal Lands Commissioner.

Purpose of Circular
This circular is issued with the following objectives:
- To facilitate User Ministries/Departments (KJP) in ensuring that the land being applied for is strictly State Government land;
- To enable the State-level Department of Director General of Lands and Mines (JKPTG) to assist the User Ministries/Departments (KJP) in identifying suitable locations for Federal Government projects;
- To enable the State-level JKPTG to make preliminary preparations for the monitoring of such land applications; and
- To obtain accurate information to assist in and expedite the process of land alienation or reservation by the State Authority (PBN).
