The 6th Sports Champiohship of Ministry of Natural Rezources and Environment (NRE was held on October9, 2015 to October 11, 2015 at National Institute of Land and Survey (INSTUN), Sultan Idris’s Educational University and Proton City, Tanjung Malim, Perak and officiated by YB Dato Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junadi bin Tuanku Jaafar, the Minister of NRE. Department of Director General of Lands and Mines (JKPTG) together with INSTUN and National Hydraulic Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM) have been selected as the organizer of the event this year. A total of 120 JKPTG’s staff all around Malaysia has joined the contingent. A total of 23 events were contested and JKPTG has managed to bring home a bronze medal for women’s volleyball and earned a fourth place in local indoor games’s, congkak. Overall, JKPTG was ranked 8th out of 12 departments and agencied joined. Despite of not winning any gold or silver medal, the main objective which to promote the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork and friendship between JKPTG’s citizen has been achieved.
