In the early stages this section was known as the Enforcement Division of the Padi Cultivators (Control of Rent and Security of Tenure) Act 1967 which was located at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development since its inception in 1967. On February 3, 1975, the division was transferred to the Ministry of Lands and Mines (now known as the Ministry of Land and Cooperative Development). All officers and employees who have been transferred to the Ministry. Transfer to the Department of Lands and Mines was made in February 1983 and made ​​one of the sections, namely Section of Enforcement of the Padi Cultivators Act 1967.
 
In accordance with the Section of Enforcement of the Padi Cultivators Act 1967 then in its early stages, its main function was focused on the Padi Cultivators (Control of Rent and Security of Tenure) Act 1967. However, in 1993, as the work of the Federal Land Property Section has increased, then the management has decided that the workload associated with:
 

• Coordination of enforcement of federal land, such as the requirements of the Land Acquisition Act 1960.
• Tenancy of Federal Land
• Processing applications under the Continental Shelf Act 1966 Federal and State;

 
Undertaken by the Padi Cultivators (Control of Rent and Security of Tenure) Act 1967, Sections were then changed to the Enforcement & Federal Land Revenue Section.
 
However, from 19 April 1995, the Enforcement & Federal Land Revenue Section workload has increased by taking over the work of Federal Land Property Section by processing handing-over / land clearance / Federal reserved to the State Government for public use.
